Cognos BI Server

 Vantage is a product for the Cognos 8 BI Server, however it is only certified for use with versions 8.3 and 8.4.

Visualization Technologies

 Vantage is designed to work with any visualization tool or suite that consumes SQL-type data.  The exhaustive list would be long and it is more appropriate to talk about the technologies that have been tested with our product.  This includes:

ESRI GIS visualizations
Dundas charts

Operating System

 In following with the Cognos BI server, Vantage is currently supported for Windows XP/Vista and SUSE Linux.  There are no known configurations on which Cognos can run where Vantage cannot, which should make this a moot point.

Hardware

 SpotOn Vantage should be able to be installed to the existing Cognos BI hardware.  The minimum requirements for Cognos 8 BI is 2GB RAM minimum, 2+GHz Processor, 20 GB Hard Disk space.  The recommended system is 2X2GHz processors with 4 GB of RAM. To date we have not encountered any configuration that would require additional hardware to accommodate the Vantage installation.
